It often proves difficult to convey the products and insights developed in labour market projects to other parties. Project promotors are often primarily concerned with the results of their own project and the recipients for mainstreaming often take a critical view of the innovation. As a result interesting innovations do not make it into policy or practice. Much experience with succes and failure factors for mainstreaming was amassed during the European Equal initiative in the Netherlands.
