Anna's Introduction
Hi!My name is Anna. I live in the suburbs of Poznań, which is a nice city in the west of Poland. For nearly nine years I have been working for a big Polish consulting company DGA S.A. During this long period of time, among other tasks, I participated in many large projects financed by EU funds and I gained great experience in EU projects’ preparation and implementation. Some of them are Equal projects. I support beneficiaries within elaborating innovative projects and creating partnerships and consortia. I really like my job, it forces me to be creative and flexible. Thanks to my broad experience I have complex approach to the realized tasks. Every day I learn and do new things. My role as a facilitator will also be a new challenge and I will try to do my best.

Introducing myself
Hello Bev, Hello Madalena!
Uff, Finally I managed to get here...
Well let me introduce myself.
My name is João Dias, I work and live in Lisbon. At present my full time job is has an Database Administrator (Oracle), but has also worked has an application and web, developer and analyst. In paralel with this activitys, I've been an member and participant in several comunities, and several times funcioned has a facilitator of said comunities. That got my interest in the subject and made me start exploring it more in depth.
Recently I participated in an CPSquare workshop, and latter on on the 2007 Setubal Dialogue.
Now, I've been invited to help facilitate this community of practice, and has Madalena, hope I won't disapoint!
Madalena said: "However, if we visit a community dedicated to "personal interests", it is completly different! It is so alive! Why is that? Am I more interested in sharing ideas and experiences about my hobbies, than about "important" things to my work...? "
I also get that notion. Looking forward to talk about it!
See you all around!
p.s. For some reason I didn't get the email with the password... We will have to keep an eye on that...
Other than that nothing to take note, but will go explore!
Hello! I start with a
Hello!
I start with a comment: I didn't find the "Add Comment" to click on...
Now, let me introduce myself.
My name is Madalena, live in Lisbon, and I'm an Economist (officialy :).
In fact, I've always worked on the training field, managing macro projects like the Accreditation System for Training Operators. More recently, I change - or enlarged - my focus and now I'm working on organizational development.
I've been cooperating with EQUAL for a while. My contribution goes from helping choosing the best projects/products, writing a guide for the Balance of Competences (methodology to evaluate the competences gains of the EQUAL projects) to evaluate the Balance of Competences practices.
Now I've been invited to become the portuguese facilitator of this community of practice. I hope I don't desapoint them!
Actualy, I have some experience doing this kind of job...I'm also the facilitator of a virtual community dedicated to the quality in education and training. More recently, in the enterprise I'm working for, I've tried to resuscitate the intranet Fórum. Well, in an universe of 1.100 users, 360 went to the Fórum, but just to take a look...not to participate...
So, it is not an easy job!
We have to be insistent, without being boring, we have to be creative, without exagerating, ...it is a big chalenge.
However, if we visit a community dedicated to "personal interests", it is completly different! It is so alive! Why is that?
Am I more interested in sharing ideas and experiences about my hobbies, than about "important" things to my work...?
Well, here is an interesting theme to discuss...
I like the site, but I need more time to navigate it...
See you on 6th!

Bev's introduction
Hello!
I'm Bev, who has been supporting the Steering Group in creating this community of practice on Innovation Mainstreaming. I'm independent, working in the area of learning, communities of practice and technologies that support them. About 60% of my work is with Portuguese speaking communities.
My home is in Setúbal, 50 kilometers south of Lisbon. It's one of Portugal's best kept secrets, close to long stretches of beautiful white beaches and to the hills of Arrábida, where I enjoy doing cross-country cycling
I often find myself building bridges between people, ideas, resources, languages ... and then encouraging people to try crossing them. I'm a very periphery member of the EQUAL/ESF network, still getting familiar with some of the language it uses to talk about itself, and building some scaffolding in one small corner of it.
I blog at Phronesis, which is the Greek word for "practical wisdom".
